If any of this sounds familiar, then this Performance Showcase is perfect for you. Now you have the chance to take all those dance moves you learned in your room and share your passion for K-pop on the stage.

A Dance Cover Showcase for K-Pop Fans of Atlanta!
The K-Pop Oasis Atlanta Performance Showcase will put on a dance cover show for friends, family, and K-pop lovers in the community. In 9 weeks, you'll put together a dance performance of K-pop dance covers taught by Kahja.
As part of the K-Pop Performance Showcase, you'll also have the exciting, optional opportunity to INDEPENDENTLY organize your own K-pop dance cover to a song of your choosing in teams of 1-5 dancers.
Never danced in front of anyone before, but you're obsessed with every Le Sserafim song? Come on down!

This Showcase is for EVERYONE

No auditions, no experience, no problem!
Bring your costumes and all your friends to a positive, supportive audience of other K-pop enthusiasts in Atlanta and dance your heart out!
Showtime!
Put together an INDEPENDENT dance cover of your choosing. You'll be in charge of the song, the choreography, the costumes, the formations...everything! Either go solo or team up with fellow K-Pop Oasis members.
(Optional) Create
We'll meet up once a week for 9 weeks to learn all the choreography. We'll also have dress rehearsals at the showcase venue. In between rehearsal days, you'll practice, practice, practice at home!
Practice
Sign up for the K-Pop Performance Showcase. Then choose the K-pop Teams you'd like to perform with. (Teams will be assigned according to FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE!) You'll learn some choreography for EACH song listed for your Team.

Independent Performances
In addition to the main Performance Teams taught and directed by Kahja, you'll have the (optional) opportunity to perform your own, independent dance cover!
Be the captain of your own ship! You'll be in charge of learning the choreography to a K-pop song of your choosing. Go solo, or I can help you find other members of the K-Pop Oasis Performance Teams who want to perform the song with you.
How to Create an Independent Performance:
- After registration, tell me if you'd like to be the captain/leader of an independent performance.
- Your Independent Performance can be added to the Performance Team sign up form for others to join. (Unless you're going solo!)
- As captain, you'll be the leader of rehearsing with your group (Or by yourself if you're going solo). Feel free to use our dance studio during the 2-3pm break time for practice!
- Your independent dance cover will be included in the Performance Showcase lineup!

The K-Pop Performance Showcase is for ALL levels! Beginners and experienced dancers are totally welcome.
If you've never danced on stage before, no worries! This is an inclusive environment for people who just love dancing and K-pop. We'll have plenty of time to practice so we can be show-ready. Just come with your positive energy and we'll slay together!
The K-Pop Performance Showcase is for ADULT participants. If you're an adult, we are lovingly accepting of ALL adult age groups! (That means whether you're 18 or 78, this program is for you!)
Hey, stuff happens. That's fine! Just contact me ahead of time and I'll send you a recording of what we learned in the rehearsal. You'll be responsible for practicing at home til our next rehearsal day. However, since we only have a short time for practice, you can only miss 2 rehearsals in order to keep participating in the Performance Showcase. (Being significantly late to a rehearsal will count as a missed day.)
Unfortunately, there are no refunds for the K-Pop Performance Showcase.
Nope! Our performance outfits are totally flexible. I'll give the team an idea of what to wear to fit the concept, and you will have the option to go shopping for some new 'fits or you can stick to whatever you currently have in your closet. No pressure to spend any extra cash.
Nope! You don't have to teach your own full blown dance classes (like I do) if you want to lead an independent performance. You can simply send out Youtube videos for other dancers to learn on their own. Your main role would be assigning positions in formations, setting up group rehearsal times, and checking everyone's progress. Don't feel pressured to suddenly transform into a professional choreographer overnight! The other dancers are understanding and supportive of your creative vision. ❤️ And I'll always be around in some way to help you out with your rehearsals if you need it! Independent performances must be between 3-4 minutes in length.
No need to rent out a dance studio for group practice! (Unless you want to) You can sign up for a slot to rehearse in our dance studio. Independent rehearsals can take place between 2:00 - 3:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
The first step is registering for the K-Pop Performance Showcase. Then you'll receive an email with the Team Sign Up Form.
On the Form, you'll choose which Performance Teams you're interested in joining in order of your preference. Space in each team is limited, and team assignments will be made on a first come, first serve basis! So if you reeallly want to make sure you get assigned to your absolute favorite K-pop group, make sure to sign up early!
But no matter what team you join, you'll definitely get to join the other amazing dancers in the Showcase and show off your dance moves on stage!
Hey, I understand you might wanna experience the fun of learning some K-pop dance covers without having to perform on stage. I mean the vibes from all the incredible dancers at K-Pop Oasis Atlanta are impeccable. 😎
But the K-Pop Performance Showcase is a team effort! Every dancer is super important to the entire choreography. That means that missing even 1 dancer from the team greatly affects the other dancers' performance. For that reason, members of the Performance Showcase are required to participate in the final performance. (Unless of course something inevitable in your life comes up and you're no longer able to perform. I understand that life happens!)
But if you're shy, no worries! ALL of the other dancers are also incredibly nervous. We'll work together to support each other and do our best for an audience of our loved ones and friendly K-pop lovers!
