A Dance Cover Showcase for K-Pop Fans of Atlanta!
Join us for 8 weeks of dance instruction to one of many K-pop dance covers. Then put it all together in one night of k-pop performances and positive vibes.
Opportunities like this don't come around often in Atlanta, Georgia! So in the immortal words of 4 notorious K-pop queens: "It's BlackPink in YOUR area!"
The K-Pop Oasis Atlanta Performance Showcase will put on a dance cover show for friends, family, and K-pop lovers in the community. In 8 weeks, you'll put together a dance performance to 1 of 4 K-pop pieces taught by Kahja (resident ATLien, dance-enthusiast, and long time Twice fan).
As part of the K-Pop Performance Series, you'll also have the exciting opportunity to INDEPENDENTLY put together your own K-pop dance cover to a song of your choosing in teams of 1-5 dancers.

Why K-Pop Oasis?
As a fellow K-pop follower in the Atlanta area, I know how hard it can be to find K-pop related opportunities in this part of the world. And when you finally find one, you gotta jump on it!
A pop up dance class to Mamamoo's song "Hip?" Sign me up! A K-pop-themed Korean BBQ restaurant? Pass the bulgogi, please!
That's why I created K-Pop Oasis Atlanta. It's a super inclusive, fun-loving "oasis" of K-pop dance passion for die hard fans near Atlanta. No try outs or professional-level dance skills necessary!

Hey, there! I'm Kahja, Creative Director of K-Pop Oasis Atlanta.
Bring your costumes and all your friends to a positive, supportive audience of other K-pop enthusiasts in Atlanta and dance your heart out!
Showtime!
Put together an ADDITIONAL dance cover of your choosing. You'll be in charge of the song, the choreography, the costumes, the formations...everything! Either go solo or team up with fellow K-Pop Oasis members.
(Optional) Create
We'll meet up once a week for 8 weeks to learn the choreography and practice formations. We'll also have a dress rehearsal at the showcase venue. In between rehearsal days, you'll practice, practice, practice at home!
Practice

The Performance Showcase is for ALL levels! Beginners and experienced dancers are totally welcome.
If you've never danced on stage before, no worries! This is an inclusive environment for people who just love dancing and K-pop. Just come with your positive energy and we'll slay together!
The Performance Showcase is primarily for adult participants. If you're an adult, we are lovingly accepting of ALL adult age groups! (That means whether you're 18 or 58, this program is for you!
Hey, stuff happens. That's fine! Just contact me ahead of time and I'll send you a recording of what we learned in the rehearsal. You'll be responsible for practicing at home til our next rehearsal day. However, since we only have a short time for practice, you can only miss 2 days in order to keep participating in the Performance Showcase. (Being significantly late to a rehearsal will count as a missed day.)
Unfortunately, there are no refunds for the Performance Showcase.
Nope! Our performance outfits are totally flexible. I'll give the team an idea of what to wear to fit the concept, and you will have the option to go shopping for some new 'fits or you can stick to whatever you currently have in your closet. No pressure to spend any extra cash.
The Performance Showcase is a team effort! Every dancer is super important to the entire choreography. Opting out of the showcase at the last minute greatly affects the other dancers' performance. For that reason, members of the Performance Showcase are required to participate in the final performance. But if you're shy, no worries! MANY of the dancers are also incredibly nervous. We'll work together to support each other and do our best for an audience of our loved ones and friendly K-pop lovers!
